80% mind, 20% muscle. Learning to ride is as much about your mind as it is your muscles. Success can be secured or impaired by a mere thought.
-Encouraging, positive thought patterns help to build a strong foundation of self esteem, from which all growth is possible. It’s like the fertilizer for learning .
-Negative thought patterns inhibit an individuals ability to learn and succeed by choking out any sort of existing potential. Like a noxious weed, taking over positive growth.
As I was typing this my husband teased me... he said, “Right now you have the lowest self esteem I’ve ever seen, and your writing an article about it?” We laughed. A combination of stressors in my life created a feeling of insecurity that hung like a cloud from above. He brought up a very valid point though. Self esteem isn’t something you work towards and then have for life, it is a constant battle of ups and downs. No one is immune. The Betties Power Sports Network will be here for you. Each week we will visit the art of positive thinking as it relates to life and riding. Life can be a challenge, and learning to ride is no different. If you believe it, you can do it
